TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES
Inspired by the recent popularity of cake television shows like Cake Boss and Cupcake Wars, Take The Cake has teams battling to create, sculpt, and decorate, a cake that best represents their pre-determined theme.
Think this team building cooking class event is a piece of cake? There’s a lot to do if you want to top all other teams! This team building culinary class begins with delicious sheet cakes already baked to perfection by our chefs, so it’s all about decoration and presentation. Naturally, we provide all cakes, a wild assortment of decorating supplies.
Take The Cake is fa friendly competition in which teams sketch possible designs, working together to focus the vision behind their sweet masterpiece. Will they go for the company logo? Some symbol that reflects how the team sees itself? A culinary caricature of your CEO? The cakes are then sculpted or decorated according to each team plan, and soon the frosting begins to fly. Teamwork…diplomacy…bargaining…and plenty of laughter.
When your friendly Pastry Chef/facilitator calls time, each group gets to present their creation, complete with a team cheer and an explanation of the design. Any way you slice it, our Take The Cake program is a great way to pull everyone together and get them working as a team.
This fun interactive and delicious activity capitalizes on your team's creativity and sweet tooth. This is a great event to do before or after a meal and can be incorporated into your lunch, dinner or afternoon team building retreat. THE CUPCAKE CHALLENGE!

The group will be divided into teams and provided with all kinds of chocolate based foods that might include chocolate-covered graham crackers, M&Ms, chocolate cookies, candy bars and anything you can think of that is made of chocolate. We go for different shapes, sizes, and textures.
Teams then compete to build a structure. The result has to stand up on its own and, except for the white cardboard base, has to be completely edible. Teams are given time to design and build, and then they have to present the results.
Half the fun is explaining why they built what they built and how they built it.
