Reimagined With The Coore & Crenshaw Treatment
“Our job is to wed holes to the ground as we see them in a natural way.”
The Pines is a new and incredibly visionary golf course designed by Coore & Crenshaw. Rich in history, the bones of the course hail back to 1901 when the course’s original layout consisted of 66 acres of open farmland that featured a “short but tricky” nine-hole course. In 1954, Geoffrey Cornish, with input from Francis Ouimet, had the distinction of designing the longest golf course in the World: 8,040 yards. The regulation course frames the area where the new course is today. In 1972, Robert Trent Jones was contracted to enhance the experience and modify many of the slick greens and challenging bunkers.
Today, however, the course has finally found its perfect form. In 2025, we will unveil our new Pines Course. The new course is truly extraordinary, with unique landforms, interesting corridors, and thoughtful routing that winds through stunning natural landscapes. The setting and playability are truly exceptional and will leave a lasting impression.
